After the ups and downs of the first year the second year crops are as of yet undecided. The runner beans and the pots were our best successes along with the parsnips although these were planted somewhat early.
I’ve also had a bit of a radical rethink in terms of how to use the space I have and to that end I want to plant more fruit trees as these will provide me with a low maintenance crop which will hopefully keep producing year after year. To compliment the Bramley Apple tree I already have I’m going to plant another apple tree along with pear, plum and possibly a cherry. These will it alongside my bed of 30 strawberries planted in the autumn just gone.
