Everybody loves getting something for nothing right.
Today I harvested my 4th lot of asparagus spears which were planted by the previous tenant. Although a joyous occasion it lacks the satisfaction of harvesting something that you have grown yourself. Happy as I am to have them on the plot they are located in somewhat inconvenient place. There are 2 clumps of them – one at each end of the standing fruit cage which is falling down and needs to be dismantled. I need to now do a some research and see about the practicalities of moving the planted crowns into a more appropriate bed.
